- * To initially install Windows NT on a SCSI disk attached to the Fast!SCSI/QLA400
- or to install Windows NT from a CD-ROM player attached to the Fast!SCSI/QLA400:
-
- 1. Insert Windows NT "Boot Disk" and reboot system
- 2. Select "Custom Setup"
- 3. Enter "S" to configure additional SCSI adapters and select "Other"
- 4. Insert QLogic SCSI software diskette and press ENTER
- 5. Select "QLogic Fast!SCSI/QLA400" and press ENTER
- 6. Continue with standard installation procedure

- * To install the QLogic Fast!SCSI/QLA400 miniport driver on installed NT system:
-
- 1. Select "Windows NT Setup" from Main program group
- 2. Select "Options" from Windows NT Setup window
- 3. Select "Add/Remove SCSI Adapter" from menu
- 4. Select "Add" from SCSI Adapter Setup window
- 5. Select "Other" from the list of supported adapters
- 6. Insert QLogic SCSI software diskette
- 7. Enter "A:\NT" for path to NT driver and select "OK"
- 8. Choose "QLogic Fast!SCSI/QLA400" driver and select "OK"
- 9. Select "Install" followed by "Continue" to install the driver

- * After installing the QLogic miniport driver and rebooting NT, SCSI disk and
- CD-ROM devices will be automatically configured by NT.

- * To install Windows NT drivers for supporting SCSI tape devices:
-
- 1. Select "Windows NT Setup" from Main program group
- 2. Select "Options" from Windows NT Setup window
- 3. Select "Add/Remove Tape Devices" from menu
- 4. Select "Add" from Tape Device Setup window
- 5. Select desired tape driver from the list of supported tape devices
- 6. Select "Install"
- 7. Insert Windows NT CD-ROM and enter device letter and path to the
- Windows NT installation files ("D:\I386")
